more from Spring

From [FASHIONISING.com]

1. Futuristic fashion: So how do we define futuristic fashion? As a Spring 2010 fashion trend it seems to be less about gadgetry and more about future environments. We’re faced with collections that contemplate dystopia or evolutionary change. Topics of science fiction are woven into the threads of some designers’ clothing, while others base their designs on more traditional views of futurism.

2. Jumpsuits and play suites: It doesn’t seem that long ago that cutesy playsuits & rompers were a summer must-have (albeit a short lived one). Well as luck would have it, one-piece anythings are back in fashion for Spring 2010. From overalls to jumpsuits read on for details on where the trend has been seen, as well as how to wear it.

An trend brought to the highest level. i remember having this jumpsuit, it was black, minus the sleeves and the horizontal slits!

3. Military fashion: While the army interpretation is all about army greens it can still be broadly interpreted and we’ve seen it styled successfully with everything from cropped shear-ling collared coats to loose fitting cargo pants. A word of warning though: we have the odd occurrence of camouflage print, we’d recommend you avoid it for the time being - it’s simply too soon a come back.

The aviator interpretation of the trend is far less open. It’s about a sleek look with slim cuts. And forget military green, this is all about darker hues with dark-brown leather jackets.

Amelia Earhart i so love you! Wont she just inspire you!

4. Patterned and printed pants: From tailored trousers to skinny cigarette pants, to ripped jeans and leather leggings; over the past years pants have predominantly been worn in block colors. What’s more, they’d become something of a basic: frequently worn as a subtle item, while attention was focused on increasingly-detailed tops, jackets, dresses, and skirts.

5. See through fabrics: Sheer fabric is back as one of hottest 2009 and 2010 fashion trends, and plenty of celebrities are wearing it. But don’t worry, it’s not all about tight, see-through tops, and dresses that scream ‘look at me’ as we saw in the 1990s. Run your eyes over the Spring / Summer 2009 and Spring / Summer 2010 runway collections and you’ll find sheer fabrics used in a multitude of ways: tight sheer pieces, layers, and the much sought after delicate, feminine draping.
